Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

After having exposed to 2 to 4 years working experience, our graduates should become professionals who demonstrate the following competencies:

PEO1   

Acquire comprehensive knowledge of structure and functions of human body, physiological and biochemical mechanisms involved in normal and abnormal health condition, knowledge of light microscopic and ultrastructure of human specimen. Knowledge of structure and functional correlation of blood constituents with disease process and be able to communicate the same clearly and with precision.

Being aware of contemporary advances and developments in the field of medical laboratory subjects. 

PEO3

To produce graduates who are uphold professionalism, ethical and social responsibilities 

PEO4

To produce graduates who are committed towards continual improvement and lifelong learning.

Have acquired skills of integrating laboratory tests with other disciplines of medical sciences as and when needed

To prepare students for continuous learning even after graduating from the Institute 

Program Learning Outcomes (PLO)

After having completed the program, graduates should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

PLO1

Competency to perform a full range of testing in the contemporary medical laboratory encompassing pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical components of laboratory services, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, body fluids, molecular diagnostics, and immunology 

PLO2

Practice proper technique, identify technical errors, and perform basic troubleshooting competently in medical and laboratory 

PLO3

Collaborate and function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse healthcare /health provider team with good interpersonal skills 

 PLO4

Contribute towards environment sustainability through proper practice according to biological, chemical, physical and biosafety requirement by adhering to legal and code of conduct in medical laboratory practices.

To present information and findings coherently to medical and laboratory community with effective verbal and written communications kills .

Formulate solutions based on critical and lateral thinking in medical laboratory practices .

Application of safety and governmental regulations and standards as applied to medical laboratory practices
